We are seeking a skilled and motivated Grounds Maintenance & Facilities Officer to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. In this hands-on role you will provide and coordinate high-quality maintenance across our college to ensure a safe, functional and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

About the Role
Reporting to the Business Manager, the successful candidate will join a collaborative team on a Permanent Full-time basis commencing as soon as possible.

Be able to respond to all college facility related issues including minor repairs and general maintenance requirements.

Keep grounds and buildings presentable, clean, safe and usable for students and staff.

Lift and move equipment and furniture.

Set up for college events.

Manage maintenance requests through the college’s maintenance system.

Open and secure college facilities as required.

Supervise and coordinate contractors as required.

Carry out garden and lawn maintenance.

Have knowledge of and the willingness to observe and implement WHS policies and practices.

Assist with emergency and evacuation procedures.

Actively contribute to asset and maintenance planning.
About You
You are a proactive and reliable maintenance officer who takes pride in your work, values safety, and thrives in a busy, school-based environment. You are equally confident working independently, or as part of a team, and have the skills and initiative to manage competing priorities.
- A current Working With Children Check (Paid Employee)

You have a current driver’s licence.

Demonstrated experience in maintenance.

Sound technology skills to manage maintenance systems.

Can work effectively both independently, and as part of a team.

You prioritise and meet set deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with staff across a range of roles.

You are an excellent communicator
- Trade qualifications or Certificate III in a relevant field (desireable)
