Are you a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with leaders to drive better outcomes? Join Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) as a Finance Partner – Optimisation and play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives that enhance the way we work.

In this temporary full-time role through to December 2027, you will partner with the Optimisation team to lead financial benefits modeling, budgeting, and reporting across key workstreams. Your insights will help guide decision-making, manage financial risks, and ensure initiatives are delivered efficiently and sustainably.

About the Role

As part of the mission of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Parramatta, the Finance Partner – Optimisation is responsible for organising benefits modeling, budgeting, and reporting across optimisation initiatives and workstreams.

Working closely with the Optimisation team, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Workforce Planning, you will ensure financial oversight and alignment across programs while supporting strategic and operational decision-making.

This role will be based in our Parramatta office, with flexible working arrangements available for eligible employees.

In this role, you will

  • Monitor financial performance across optimisation workstreams, tracking benefits and identifying variances

  • Recommend corrective actions to ensure initiatives remain on track and within budget/targets

  • Deliver clear, timely financial reporting and insights that highlight risks, trends, and opportunities

  • Support the development of business cases, including financial modelling, cost-benefit analysis, and funding implications

  • Partner with Financial Planning & Analysis and Workforce Planning to align financial planning, workforce data, and budget integration

  • Identify financial risks and opportunities across programs and workforce initiatives and recommend mitigation strategies

  • Provide trusted financial advice to support informed decision-making across optimisation initiatives
  • Conduct expenditure analysis to identify improvement and efficiency opportunities

About You

You are a proactive finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and providing insights that drive better business outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Experience in financial analysis, finance business partnering, or financial planning roles

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience preparing financial reports and translating data into actionable insights

  • The ability to support business cases and financial modelling

  • A proactive approach to identifying financial risks and opportunities
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
