The High Support Learning Team at CSPD is seeking a caring and dedicated Classroom and Learning Support Assistant to join our team on a Permanent part-time basis - 65 hours per fortnight!
While the role is not itinerant in nature, the team supports students across three centre locations: Kirinari at Xavier College, Llandilo; Wiyanga at St Patrick's Marist, Dundas; and Arrunga at St Luke's, Marsden Park.
The current vacancy is based at Kirinari, Xavier College, Llandilo. However, as part of the High Support Learning Team, you may be required to relocate to one of the other centre locations in the future to meet changing student needs and service requirements.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will work collaboratively to:

Support the learning and wellbeing of students in classroom settings

Assist individual students and small groups to engage meaningfully with learning tasks

Contribute to the implementation of personalised learning plans

Support teachers in delivering curriculum and classroom activities including the use of technological devices and support aides to support learning

Assist in Diversity initiatives for student supported learning workshops

Help maintain an inclusive, positive and safe learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful applicant will bring:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take direction when required

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

A caring, patient and supportive approach to working with students

Experience in providing administrative support;

A willingness to contribute to school life;

A Certificate III or IV in School Based Education Support (either completed or currently studying) is highly regarded.

A valid Working with Children Check clearance (as required under NSW Child Protection Legislation)
