About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled Assessment Specialists to conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and provide expert guidance to school staff, families, and support teams. This role is pivotal in ensuring students receive the personalised support they need to thrive in their educational setting.

 

Key Responsibilities

As an Assessment Specialist, you will be accountable for:

  • Performing detailed assessments of students within the scope of practice as a psychologist.

  • Building a holistic understanding of student needs by liaising effectively with school staff, families, and individual students.

  • Delivering evidence-based recommendations to school staff on pedagogical and pastoral approaches to address needs identified by assessments, relevant to the educational context.

  • Working with schools and support teams to deliver relevant professional learning to staff.

  • Strengthening home-school partnerships by engaging and providing detailed feedback to parents/carers to support their child's learning and wellbeing.

  • Collaborating with schools and support teams to liaise with and manage referrals to external agencies, professionals, and partners to enhance student support.

  • Supporting school staff to respond effectively to complex student wellbeing and learning needs.

  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to develop and review effective personalised plans for students.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be a registered or provisionally registered Psychologist with AHPRA

  • Appropriate demonstrated experience administering diagnostic assessments and providing high quality reports and feedback
