Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) is seeking a highly skilled Assessment Specialist - Occupational Therapist to join our Student Support Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to student wellbeing and learning by delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments that support schools to meet the diverse needs of students.Working as part of the Assessment Team, you will play a key role in conducting comprehensive assessments, providing evidence-based recommendations, and collaborating with schools, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student outcomes. Permanent part-time position, 2 days per week! 

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students within your scope of practice
  • Analyse assessment findings and provide clear recommendations to support student learning and wellbeing
  • Prepare high-quality written reports and communicate outcomes to schools and families
  • Liaise with teachers, school leaders, families and students to build a holistic understanding of student needs
  • Collaborate with CSPD support teams and external professionals to enhance student support pathways
  • Support schools in responding effectively to student wellbeing and learning needs
  • Contribute to the development and review of personalised learning or support plans for students
  • Participate in professional learning and contribute to a collaborative and supportive team culture

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
  • Demonstrated experience conducting diagnostic assessments and writing comprehensive reports
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in occupational therapy assessment and intervention
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with schools and families
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • A commitment to continuous professional learning and improvement
  • An understanding of, and support for, the mission and ethos of the Catholic Church
