Arts Learning Officer - Woodwind Tutor

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Arts Learning Officer to join the CAPTIVATE team on a temporary part-time basis. The ability to teach multiple instruments is desirable.

 

  • Woodwind Tutor – 2 Days per week (Temporary Part-Time position till the end of Term 4).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide instrument-specific teaching to students both in small groups and, where requested, individually on a weekly basis both during school time and before or after school depending on spacing availability and student timetables.

  • Provide regular feedback to students and biannual reports to parents.

  • Provide instrument-specific knowledge to develop ensembles in both rehearsal and performance before and after school.

  • Provide instrument-specific knowledge to support the work of the Specialist Teacher in the delivery of classroom-based band programs on a weekly basis during school time.

  • Willingness and ability to deliver the classroom program when the assigned Specialist Teacher is away.

  • Lead ensembles and workshops under the guidance of the Specialist Teacher both during school time and after school.

  • Provide assessment, maintenance and cleaning, tagging and logging of instruments.

Qualifications, Accreditations & Experience

  • Relevant demonstrated experience

  • Working with Children Check clearance
