Cerdon College, Merrylands is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Principal’s Executive Assistant to support the strategic and operational leadership of our dynamic and growing school community. 

 

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a complex and evolving educational environment, providing high-level administrative and organisational support to the Principal and Executive Team. Please note this position is classified as Level 6B.

About the role

As the Principal’s Executive Assistant, you will:

 

  • Manage the Principal’s schedule and provide high-level administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of daily priorities.

  • Coordinate meetings, events, and professional learning programs, including logistics, content development, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflows to enhance administrative efficiency and support staff effectiveness.

  • Lead communication strategies, to ensure clear, professional, and engaging messaging to staff, students, parents, and the broader community.

  • Facilitate collaboration with key stakeholders, including CSPD, the Marist Sisters Congregation, and external educational and industry partners.

  • Oversee staff operations, including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, and compliance. Work with the Principal and sta to ensure efficient processes, accurate compliance documentation, and smooth daily workflows that support a cohesive and professional office environment.

  • Oversee recruitment and professional development for support staff, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

About you

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional with:

 

  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building positive relationships with staff, parents, students, and external partners.

  • High-level problem-solving skills and the initiative to develop new systems and processes for continuous improvement.

  • Experience in event coordination and stakeholder engagement, ensuring seamless execution of school initiatives.

  • A keen understanding of Catholic education and community engagement, aligning with the values and mission of the school.

  • Proven experience in executive support, administration, or leadership roles, preferably in an educational or complex organisational setting.
