Cerdon College, Merrylands is seeking a skilled, contemporary and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our vibrant school community and enrich the lives of our students. This is a Permanent full-time position.
Cerdon College Merrylands is a Catholic secondary girls’ school founded by and educating in the tradition of the Marist Sisters. Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and share in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. The Maths Teacher will fit the following criteria:

Strong knowledge base of the subject’s content, how mathematics is learned, what affects students’ opportunities to learn mathematics and how the learning of mathematics can be enhanced.

Make a positive difference to the learning outcomes of the students taught.

Sensitive and responsive to all aspects of the context in which they teach including use of technology and other resources, teaching practices and ways in which assessment and feedback is provided to students.

Commitment to the continual improvement of teaching practice and taking opportunities for personal professional development.

Work creatively and constructively within a range of 'communities' inside and beyond the school and set high, achievable goals for self and students.

Essential Qualifications and Accreditations:

Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete).

Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes).
