We are seeking a skilled and motivated Grounds Maintenance Officer. In this hands-on role you will provide and coordinate high-quality maintenance across our college campus to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The position requires sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to plan and prioritise work effectively.

Key Responsibilites

Identify and carry out maintenance tasks and inspections to keep buildings, equipment and grounds in optimal condition.

Maintain cleanliness of college grounds and outdoor facilities - picking up rubbish, sweeping, raking, blowing leaves

Meet deliveries and distribute parcels, boxes and incoming supplies to the relevant locations

Set up for college assemblies, functions and other activities

General cleaning and washing down of facilities

Lift and move furniture and equipment,
-
Manage maintenance requests through the College’s maintenance system

Liaise with contractors and external service providers ensuring safe work practices.

Maintain accurate records and stock levels, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Any other duties as determined by the Business Manager
About You:
You are a proactive and reliable maintenance professional who takes pride in your work, values safety, and thrives in a busy, school-based environment. You are equally confident working independently or as part of a team and have the skills and initiative to manage competing priorities.
Successful applicants for the position will:

maintain a current Working with Children Check.

hold a current drivers' licence.

demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

have demonstrated ability to follow directions, prioritise and meet set deadlines.

have basic computer skills including internet, email & smartphone.

Trade qualification or Certificate III in a relevant field
