Business Services, Religion & HSIE Teacher

Cerdon College Merrylands is seeking a passionate and versatile secondary teacher to join our team in a temporary parental leave position from 20 February 2026 to 19 July 2027.

This role requires the capacity to teach a combination of Business Services, Religious Education and HSIE. The successful applicant will contribute to a dynamic learning environment within a contemporary Catholic girls’ secondary school.

The successful applicant will:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across Business Services, Religion and HSIE

  • Support student growth through clear expectations and effective classroom practice

  • Collaborate within faculties to enhance teaching and learning

  • Uphold and contribute to the Catholic mission and values of the College

About You

You are:

  • A qualified secondary teacher with experience in Business and/or HSIE subjects

  • Committed to Catholic education

  • Skilled in building strong relationships with young women

  • Organised, collaborative and reflective in your practice

Essential Qualifications and Accreditations:

  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

  • Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete).

  • Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes).

Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD)

Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 80 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.

This position involves working with children.
