We are seeking a skilled, innovative, and passionate Coordinator 2 to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic school community while holding a leadership position guiding the Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Technological and Applied Studies (TAS) faculties. 

 

This role is a permanent full-time position. This role attracts a 2-point paid allowance with a 0.5 FTE Teaching Load and 0.5 FTE allocated for leadership, administration, and coaching.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching programs across VET and TAS subjects (Stage 4–6).

  • Plan and implement lessons that cater to a diverse range of learners.

  • Maintain compliance with NESA requirements and, where applicable, VET and RTO standards.

  • Create a safe and supportive learning environment, particularly in practical workshop, kitchen, and lab settings.

  • Engage in continuous professional learning and maintain relevant industry currency.

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external industry partners.

  • Be confident in developing partnerships with industry to support the VET Pathways offered at Xavier College for students in Years 10,11,12

 

Essential Criteria

  • Current teaching accreditation (Proficient or higher).

  • Qualifications in relevant TAS subject areas.

  • Current industry competency and/or qualifications aligned with the VET training packages taught.

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent), or willingness to obtain if required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in delivering Stage 4–6 Technology syllabuses and/or VET Frameworks.

  • Strong classroom management and the ability to support diverse learning needs.

  • Understanding of WHS requirements in practical teaching environments.

  • Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
