Our Lady of Mount Carmel Primary School is currently seeking a passionate Leader of Learning (Coordinator 2) to join our school community on a temporary full-time basis for 2027.

About the Opportunity

As Leader of Learning (Coordinator 2) at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Primary, you will contribute to school leadership and provide stage leadership to strengthen teaching, learning and student wellbeing. Responsibilities include:

  • Working collaboratively with the Leadership Team to support school priorities and drive improvement in student learning outcomes.

  • Providing stage leadership, supporting teachers with planning, assessment and effective classroom practice.

  • Leading numeracy improvement and/or curriculum development initiatives that respond to student learning needs.

  • Building teacher capacity through coaching, collaboration, feedback and professional learning.

  • Supporting teachers with behaviour management and promoting consistent, positive approaches across the stage.

  • Using student learning data to guide teaching, identify areas for improvement and monitor progress.

  • Promoting a positive, inclusive and faith-filled learning environment.

About you

To be successful in this highly rewarding role, you will demonstrate alignment with the core purpose and values of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Primary, along with:

  • Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation, including a valid Working with Children Check clearance.

  • A tertiary qualification in Education.

  • Eligibility to teach under NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience leading numeracy improvement and/or curriculum development. 

  • The capacity to provide effective stage leadership and support teachers to strengthen their practice.

  • Strong knowledge of positive behaviour management strategies and experience supporting teachers to implement them.

  • The ability to use student learning data to inform teaching and school improvement.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Sound knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic faith and mission of Catholic education.
