An exciting opportunity now exists for a Primary Teacher passionate about STEM or inquiry learning to join our dynamic and collaborative teaching team on a Temporary part-time basis This position is for 2 days a week, currently Monday and Tuesday, but the days are not yet confirmed. There may also be the possibility of other part time work at our school to accompany this role in the future.

Key Responsibilities
As a STEM Teacher, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.
To excel in this role, you will be able to:
- create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
- demonstrate sound knowledge in developing a K-6 Curriculum and the application of effective learning pedagogies
- plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based STEM learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
- differentiate teaching to cater for the diverse learning needs, abilities and interests of all students.
- use digital technologies and contemporary tools to enhance student learning and engagement.
- have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
- participate in ongoing professional learning and contribute to a collaborative school culture focused on continuous improvement.
- utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
- employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
- support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
- demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
- integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences.
About You
To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of St Joseph’s Primary along with:
- Tertiary Qualification in Education (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)
- Statements of Service
- Working with Children Check clearance
- Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Sound knowledge of and commitment to our Catholic faith and mission in Catholic education.
