About the Opportunity

  • Employment Type: Ongoing Full-time, commencing Term 1, 2027
  • FTE: 1 FTE (76 hours per fortnight)
  • Allowances: 2 Coordinator Points
  • Location: Kenthurst, NSW

As Science 2pt Coordinator, you will provide educational leadership within the Science Faculty and contribute to the ongoing development of teaching and learning across the College. 

 

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and support the Science Faculty in delivering engaging, innovative and contemporary learning programs.
  • Provide instructional leadership and foster a culture of high expectations, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Lead curriculum planning, implementation and evaluation across the Science Faculty.
  • Support and develop teachers through mentoring, collaboration and professional learning.
  • Monitor student achievement and use data and evidence to inform teaching and learning practices.
  • Promote effective assessment practices and ensure alignment with College and NESA requirements.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that supports the academic, social and personal development of students.
  • Encourage the integration of technology, practical learning and inquiry-based approaches to enrich Science education.
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider Marian community.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum leadership, faculty coordination or a similar leadership role.

  • Excellent organisational, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership of the Science Faculty.
  • Lead the development, implementation and review of Science curriculum and programs.
  • Support teachers to develop high-quality teaching and learning practices.
  • Lead faculty planning, assessment, reporting and resource development.
  • Monitor student progress and achievement and implement strategies to support improved outcomes.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration and professional learning within the Science Faculty.
  • Ensure compliance with NESA requirements, College policies and relevant curriculum frameworks.
  • Contribute actively to the broader educational leadership and strategic priorities of Marian Catholic College.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, professional growth and excellence within the Faculty.
