Emmaus is seeking a skilled and passionate RE Teacher with HSIE to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students. This position is Permanent full-time commencing in Term 2 2026.

Key Responsibilities
-
Qualifications to teach Religious Education in Stages 4-6 and HSIE
-
Strong knowledge base and understanding of explicit teaching and evidence-based approaches to learning.
-
An understanding of how to best cater for students needs to maximise student learning.
-
Sound understanding of the learning environments, lesson plans, use of technology, teaching practices and delivery of assessment and learning feedback.
-
Committed to the continual improvement of your teaching practice and taking opportunities for personal and professional development.

Work creatively and collaboratively within a range of 'communities' inside and beyond the school and set high, achievable goals for yourself and your students.
-
Able to motivate students to achieve and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Accreditation to teach Religious Education or a willingness to complete accreditation.
Qualifications and Experience

Tertiary Qualification in Education (or fourth-year student)

NESA Accreditation (Conditional Accreditation also accepted)

Statements of Service
-
Working with Children Check clearance (essential)

Exceptional communication skills

Commitment to meeting CSPD’s Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead requirements as part of employment
