Emmaus Catholic College is seeking a skilled and passionate English educator to step up into the role of Leader of Learning English - Coordinator 2. This position is Ongoing Full-time commencing Term 1, 2027 and will attract a 2-point allowance.  

Key Responsibilities

• Contemporary professional knowledge and understanding of the teaching of English across Years 7-12. 

• Understand the factors that influence learning and teaching; such as effective pedagogies, assessment and reporting and selecting appropriate resources.

• Understanding of how to differentiate learning to cater for students needs in order to maximise student growth.

• Exemplary professional practice which includes building effective relationships and managing complex interactions, creating and maintaining engaging and intellectually challenging and safe learning environments; planning, implementing and evaluating rigorous and inclusive learning programmes.

• Proven capacity and success in leading a team to achieve the school’s plan for improvement. 

• Use assessments and constructive feedback to inform teaching and learning.

Qualifications and Accrediation

• Tertiary Qualification in Education (or fourth year student)
• NESA Accreditation (Conditional Accreditation also accepted)
