Cerdon College is seeking a skilled and passionate 2 Point Coordinator – HSIE to join our school community and enrich the lives and learning of our students. A specialisation in Geography is preferred but not essential. This is a temporary full-time position for 2027.

Your duties will include but are not limited to

• Provide effective leadership within the HSIE faculty, with a particular focus on Geography.

• Demonstrate contemporary and authoritative knowledge of the HSIE curriculum, effective pedagogies, assessment and reporting requirements.

• Lead the development and implementation of engaging, rigorous and inclusive HSIE teaching and learning programs.

• Support assessment, reporting, data management and faculty compliance requirements.

• Work collaboratively with faculty staff to strengthen teaching practices and improve student learning outcomes.

• Use student achievement data and other evidence to evaluate teaching programs and inform future planning.

• Implement the school’s pedagogical practices, with a focus on explicit teaching within an inquiry-based learning framework.

• Differentiate learning to meet the diverse needs, abilities and backgrounds of students.

• Build positive professional relationships and maintain engaging, intellectually challenging and safe learning environments.

• Model exemplary professional practice and contribute actively to the Catholic identity and wider life of the College.
