About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Grounds Maintenance Officer to join our Team. In this hands-on role you will provide and coordinate high-quality maintenance across our college campus to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. 

Days and hours for this role are flexible. Commencing as soon as possible for the rest of the year.

The successful candidate

The successful applicant will undertake day-to-day maintenance and minor works of the College facilities. 

It is essential that you; 

  • Be able to respond to all College facility related issues including minor repairs and general maintenance requirements.

  • Keep grounds and buildings presentable, clean, safe and useable for students and staff.

  • Lift and move equipment and furniture.

  • Supervise and coordinate contractors as required.

  • Occasional garden and lawn maintenance

  • Have knowledge of and the willingness to observe and implement WHS policies and practices.

  • Must hold a current driver’s licence.

  • Have demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Have demonstrated ability to follow direction, prioritise and meet set deadlines.

  • Have demonstrated interpersonal skills in working with a range of personnel.

  • Have excellent Communications skills.

  • The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Pre-Employment Health Assessment.

  • A relevant trade qualification is desirable, but not necessary.
