About the Opportunity

Caroline Chisholm College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Diversity Learning Teacher to  join our team on a full-time permanent basis commencing from January 2026.

 

About the role

In this role you will work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to:

 

  • Support the diverse learning needs of students through targeted, evidence-based teaching strategies.
  • Design and deliver differentiated learning experiences that maximise student engagement and achievement.
  • Facilitate literacy and/or numeracy interventions to support student progress.
  • Provide ongoing assessment, feedback and monitoring of student learning.
  • Assist individual students and small groups to engage meaningfully with learning tasks.
  • Contribute to the implementation of personalised learning plans.
  • Develop skills  to assist in Diversity initiatives for student supported learning workshops.
  • Help maintain an inclusive, positive and safe learning environment.

 

Qualifications, Accreditations & Experience


The successful applicant will bring:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Education and current NESA Accreditation to teach in NSW.
  • Experience in working effectively with students requiring high levels of support.
  • High quality classroom teaching skills that empower students with a diverse range of needs to reach their full potential.
  • A strong understanding of explicit teaching and evidence-informed pedagogy.
  • Sound understanding of assessment and data-informed teaching.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional growth, reflective practice, and the Catholic mission of the College.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take direction when required.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A caring, patient and supportive approach to working with students.
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education (or a willingness to work towards this).
  • A valid Working with Children Check clearance (as required under NSW Child Protection Legislation)
