Diverse Learning Teacher
St John XXIII Catholic College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Diverse Learning Teacher to join our vibrant learning community in Stanhope Gardens. As a teacher at St John XXIII Catholic College, you will play a vital role in fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment that inspires students to reach their full potential. We are seeking a Diverse Learning Teacher to join our dynamic school community on an temporary full-timen basis.
To join our vibrant school community, you will:
● Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and challenging learning environment and implement fair and equitable behaviour management plans
● Interpret and use student assessment data to diagnose barriers to learning and to challenge students to improve their performance, improving the overall academic achievement of the school community
● Engage with our school community within and beyond the classroom to enrich the educational context for students and work to promote the links between school, home and community in the social and intellectual development of your students
● Demonstrate passion for transformational education, integrated into curriculum and delivered in a faith-based environment
● Have well-developed communication, administration and interpersonal skills
● Experience and interest in supporting students with diverse learning needs may be advantageous
The successful candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:
● Knowledge and understanding of the fundementals of the NCCD, Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA) and Disability Standards for Education 2005
● Experience completing personalised plans for students with a range of diverse needs
● Experience supporting Diverse Learners from primary k-6 within agile spaces
● Experience in facilitating staff development and parent education programs including staff meeting presentations, professional learning and parent information sessions.
● Special / Inclusive Education qualifications
● Cert IV in TAE would be beneficial
