Secondary Teacher Learning Support
Gilroy Catholic College at Castle Hill is looking for a skilled, contemporary and passionate Learning Support Teacher to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students. This is a permanent full time position to commence Term 1 2026.
Job Summary
- Encourage and support the Catholic culture, mission and religious ethos of Gilroy Catholic College

Participate in liturgical and formation opportunities

Assist the Leader of Learning Support in the process of developing personalised plans.

Monitoring and supporting the development of Life Skills programs.

Supporting numeracy and literacy programs.

Working with CSPD in the transition of students with disabilities to the workplace (Post-school options).

Assisting with the effective completion of applications for disability provisions for NESA.

Case Managing students as directed by the Leader of Diversity and Teacher Development
-
Working with the Leader of Learning Support in collecting and evaluating student information during the Year 7 Enrolment process in order to provide accurate information to support class placement and case management processes.

Completing diagnostic testing of students as directed by the Leader of Learning Support

Any other duties as requested by the Principal
Qualifications, Accreditations & Experience
- Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance
- Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree)
