Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese is seeking an experienced Billing and Receipting Lead to oversee the delivery of billing, receipting and accounts receivable services across our network of 83 schools.

Reporting to the Billing and Receipting Services Manager, you will lead a dedicated high performance team responsible for accurate and timely financial processing, responsive customer service and the continuous improvement of systems and processes.

About the Opportunity

As the Billing and Receipting Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of billing and receipting services while building the capability of your team and maintaining strong financial controls.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing the Billing and Receipting team to deliver accurate, timely and responsive services

• Overseeing school fee statements, receipt allocations and end-of-month processing

• Managing accounts receivable and family debtor account data

• Ensuring accurate reconciliations across financial systems, the general ledger and overseas student visa records

• Coordinating refunds, payment arrangements, account transfers, discounts and fee adjustments

• Supporting the annual school fee-setting and budgeting processes

• Responding to complex enquiries from families, schools and internal stakeholders

• Maintaining effective billing and receipting controls, policies and procedures

• Acting as the primary contact for internal and external audits

• Leading improvements to systems, processes, reporting and customer service

• Supporting system implementations, enhancements and testing as a subject matter expert

About You

You are an experienced financial services leader who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical and customer-focused approach.

You will bring:

• Experience leading a billing, receipting, accounts receivable or financial shared services team

• Strong knowledge of billing, reconciliations and accounts receivable processes

• Demonstrated experience coaching staff and managing team performance

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and financial control

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• The ability to resolve complex enquiries with professionalism and sound judgement

• Experience improving financial systems, processes and customer service

• Confidence managing competing priorities in a high-volume environment

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent demonstrated experience

• Support for the mission and values of Catholic education

Experience working within a large or complex organisation, including education, shared services or a multi-site environment, would be highly regarded.
