Assistant Principal - Mary Immaculate Primary School, Quakers Hill

Mary Immaculate Primary School is seeking an experienced and faith-filled Assistant Principal to join our thriving Catholic school community on a permanent full-time basis, commencing from Term 3, 2026 (negotiable for the right candidate)

About the Opportunity

As Assistant Principal, you will partner with the Principal to lead a thriving Catholic primary school community, promoting excellence in faith formation, learning, wellbeing and community engagement.

We are seeking an experienced and faith-filled educational leader who is passionate about strengthening teaching and learning, building staff capability and creating the conditions for every student to flourish. You will:

  • Lead and support high-quality teaching and learning practices that improve student outcomes.

  • Foster a strong Catholic culture and promote the mission and values of Catholic education through the school's commitment to love and service.

  • Build staff capability through coaching, mentoring and professional learning.

  • Champion student wellbeing, inclusion and engagement across the school.

  • Strengthen partnerships with students, families, parish and the wider community.

  • Collaborate as a member of the school leadership team to achieve school and system priorities.

  • Drive strategic improvement initiatives through evidence-informed leadership and decision-making.

  • Contribute to the continued growth of a contemporary and innovative learning environment where every student is supported to thrive.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain effective relationships across the school community, leading and inspiring others through a strong commitment to the Catholic faith and mission of the Church.

  • Evidence of strong pedagogical leadership, including deep knowledge of curriculum, contemporary approaches to learning and a proven ability to improve student outcomes.

  • Evidence of successfully leading and developing teams to improve teaching practice, build collective efficacy and enhance student outcomes.

  • Demonstrated success in fostering a culture of wellbeing, inclusion and belonging for students and staff while building strong partnerships with families and the wider community.

  • Proven ability to contribute strategically as a member of a leadership team, leading improvement initiatives through evidence-informed decision-making and effective change management.

  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning, faith formation and leadership development, and the capacity to inspire others in these areas.

Qualifications and Accreditation

Candidates must:

  • Meet the requirements of Category E Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead, or be willing to achieve these requirements within their first contract term.

  • Hold a valid Working with Children Check.

  • Hold NESA accreditation.

During the recruitment process, applicants will be required to provide:

  • A copy of their Category D or E Accreditation.

  • A Parish Priest Recommendation.

  • A copy of their Baptism Certificate.
