About the Opportunity

Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) is currently seeking a technically proficient Applications Administrator to join our IT Education Platform team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Application Administrators are dedicated to delivering high quality software support that enhances the daily teaching and learning experience.  By acting as a technical bridge for school based ICT staff and vendors you will ensure that school systems are robust, workflows are clear and digital tools effectively support the academic goals of our staff and students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end to end application support, from Level 1 user assistance through to Level 2 configuration and troubleshooting

  • Translate business and project requirements into functional system set ups, ensuring performance and stability for all users

  • Manage the full lifecycle of user accounts, prioritising automated provisioning via identity providers and performing manual updates as required

  • Design and enforce role based access and security controls to ensure appropriate, secure user access

  • Configure and optimise SaaS applications (settings, workflows, notifications etc) to align with organisational needs

  • Enable system integration and automation through native connectors and APIs to streamline data flows and reduce manual effort

  • Monitor system performance, triage issues and coordinate with vendors to resolve incidents and manage updates

  • Manage enhancements, releases, testing and data integrity across systems, including migrations and integrations

  • Partner with vendors to manage escalations and maximise value from product roadmaps

  • Support and train users, developing guidance and materials to improve capability and self sufficiency
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies

Qualifications, Accreditations and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in the relevant area of study

  •  Appropriate demonstrated experience in:

    • Supporting SaaS applications - including understanding of browser, network and vendor dependencies

    • Strong account management skills, including roles, permissions and identity provider integration

    • Proficiency with enterprise ticketing systems (eg: Jira Service Management, Service Now) and disciplined adherence to processes for system changes, security and data handling

    • Experience with data migration, mapping and maintaining data integrity across integrated systems

    • Hands on capability with APIs and workflow automation to enable system interoperability

    • Strong documentation and reporting skills, including process documentation, creation of user guides for technical and non technical audiences and analysis of system usage 

    • Experience delivering user training and support to drive effective system adoption

    • Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts to non technical users

    • Highly organised with strong attention to details, time management and a ‘school first’ - user focused mindset

    • Analytical and proactive problem solver, with the ability to identify improvements and quickly learn new SaaS platforms

Desirable Experience

  • Experience supporting or administering Microsoft 365 environments

  • Experience working within the education sector or supporting school based systems

  • Familiarity with the Canvas learning management system
