About the Role:

As part of the mission of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Parramatta, the School Registration & Compliance Specialist is accountable for supporting system-wide compliance with regulatory obligations, including school registration, contributing to quality assurance and improvement practices across CSPD schools.

Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinate assurance processes to ensure all CSPD schools meet legislative obligations under the Education Act and maintain compliance with NESA registration requirements.
  • Provide expert advice and practical guidance to school leaders and system staff on operational compliance matters, including documentation, governance, and regulatory readiness.
  • Support the implementation of quality assurance activities that strengthen school improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Heads of Performance and Quality & Research to integrate compliance insights into broader improvement strategies.
  • Liaise with the RTO Manager to support alignment with ASQA requirements relating to school-based vocational education and training.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting tools that support evidence-based compliance monitoring and support school readiness for review cycles.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, submissions, and documentation to regulatory authorities as required.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have a deep understanding of the educational regulatory landscape in NSW and a passion for ensuring high standards of compliance and quality.

Essential Criteria:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., education, law, governance, quality assurance).
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the education sector, a regulatory authority, or a large, complex organisation.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Education Act 1990 (NSW) and NESA registration requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex legislation and provide practical advice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • High-level organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
