About the opportunity: 

We are currently seeking a determined Specialist Teacher to be accountable for delivering embedded learning in schools in partnership with school leadership teams

This position is temporary for 12 months. 

About the role: 

  • Contribution to the leadership, design and delivery of student learning opportunities through school-based programs 

  • Contribution to the leadership, design and delivery of professional learning

  • Implementation of System Learning priorities and initiatives in alignment of Learning programs with deep learning classroom based activities, experiences and rich open tasks through learning scaffolds 

  • Application of specialist pedagogical and discipline knowledge to enrich, deepen and transfer learning  to student learning outcomes exploring deep learning practices

  • Lead and develop ensemble programs and collaborate with school leadership teams, staff and classroom teachers to further enhance and develop Learning programs and practices

The successful applicant will have the following skills:

School LMS adoption and utilisation

Supporting the implementation and adoption of the diocesan learning management system and associated applications across the diocese including:

  • Onboarding and supporting new teachers and leaders

  • Onboarding and supporting students and parents

  • Ongoing communication across all stakeholders

  • Training and supporting staff and students in using the LMS (Canvas Ecosystem)

  • The development and access of the LMS (Canvas Ecosystem)

  • Learning Resource development and co-teaching

  • Compliance and administration reduction in maximising learning opportunities. 

  • Working  with schools to advocate & ensure the blended model is responsive to the needs of the students within the system.

Blended Learning

Supporting the implementation of Blended Learning across the diocese including:

  • System Focus

    • Co-construction of blended professional learning across the system.

    • Support colleagues in the design, implementation and maintenance of these courses.

    • Co-construct resources with colleagues in serving diocesan priorities.

    • Promote best practice in the area of blended learning across the system.

    • Advise on user engagement strategies that promote next steps in course design.

  • K-12 School Focus

    • Provide professional learning to schools on the implementation of blended learning environments.

Qualifications: 

  • Tertiary qualification in Education 

  • NESA accreditation 

  • Working with Children Check clearance
