Position Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teacher’s Aide with strong interpersonal and organisational skills to join our team. The role of the Teacher’s Aide works as part of a holistic team across K-12 to support students who have been identified as having specific learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
● Support students by implementing learning adjustments, in consultation with the classroom teacher and the diverse learning teacher. ● Provide scheduled in-class support within an inclusive learning environment. ● Provide physical assistance to students in the areas of mobility, eating, and personal hygiene, both within the school and during off-site activities. ● Supervise and support students during scheduled breaks. ● Assist with exam/assessment provisions (e.g., reader/writer) ● Organise specialist equipment/aids and assistive technology as required. ● Attend excursions and outings as required.
Qualifications:
● Certificate 3 or 4 in Education Support ● Ability to use technology in a variety of formats ● Experience working with students with diverse learning needs. ● Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. ● Experience working with students who have a vision impairment would be beneficial.
