Gilroy Catholic College, Castle Hill is looking for a skilled, contemporary and passionate HSIE (years 7 - 10) and Stage 6 Modern History Teacher, to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students.

Key focus areas
The HSIE | Modern History Teacher will fit the following criteria:
- Contemporary and authoritative professional knowledge and understanding of the teaching of HSIE and Modern History and the factors that influence learning and development, effective pedagogies, assessment and reporting, a wide range of resources, including interactive technologies, and their use in teaching and learning
- Understanding of how to differentiate learning to cater for students needs in order to maximise student learning.
- Exemplary professional practice which includes building effective relationships and managing complex interactions, creating and maintaining engaging and intellectually challenging and safe learning environments, planning, implementing and evaluating rigorous and inclusive learning programs
- Use assessments and constructive feedback to inform teaching and learning and communicating effectively with different audiences using a range of strategies
