The Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta is looking for a passionate and dedicated Laboratory Assistant to provide support and assistance to our teachers.
The Laboratory Assistant is accountable for:
-Employees are required to support the mission, teachings and ethos of the Catholic Church’s work in schools.
-Demonstrated ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
-Demonstrated ability to follow direction, prioritise and meet set deadlines
-Demonstrated interpersonal skills in working with a range of personnel
-Strong planning and organisation skills
-Demonstrated ability to maintain the quality of assigned work
-Preparation of practical work for use in the classroom, including general and complex laboratory experiments
-Preparing simple chemical solutions and, under instruction, more complicated
solutions
-Developing and using appropriate storage systems, including for dangerous and toxic substances consistent with material safety data sheets
Typical Experience and Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in the relevant area of study
- Appropriate demonstrated experience
The Organisation
Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 83 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.
This position involves working with children.
