Parramatta Marist High School is a Catholic school with a history and tradition spanning 200 years. Since 1875 it has been shaped by the Marist charism, one that flows from a basic trust in God and a desire to follow Christ in the way of Mary. Our pedagogy is based around Project/Problem Based Learning and Flipped Classroom through a collaborative approach in Professional Learning Teams (PLTs) and Team-Teaching.
About the opportunity:
Applications are invited for skilled, contemporary and passionate PDHPE/RE Teachers to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students.
This position will commence ASAP.
More specifically you will:
Proficiency in teaching PDHPE/RE
Work creatively and constructively within a range of 'communities' inside and beyond the school and set achievable goals for students
Work effectively in implementing the aims and practices of the faculty
A preparedness to learn and implement the pedagogies used within the school, namely Project/Problem Based Learning and Flipped Classroom
Have an ability to integrate technology innovatively to enhance teaching and learning
About You:
Tertiary qualification in Education (or relevant)
Statement of Service
Current Working with Children Check
High quality classroom teaching skills which enable students with a diverse range of needs to achieve their full potential
Sound knowledge of and commitment to our Catholic faith and mission in Catholic education.
The Organisation
