We are seeking a Resource Planning Officer to be accountable for assisting leaders in our Learning teams with understanding allocation, utilisation and forecast of Learning and school staffing, maintaining team data and reporting to support team outcomes.
As the successful candidate, you’ll bring some workforce planning or resource coordination experience, or relevant financial and administrative skills. You’ll also possess a consultative mindset, a head for numbers and bring an affinity for problem solving to help us work through our critical and high impact school staffing processes.
In your first three months you will:
Join the Resource Planning team in delivering our final school staffing cycle for 2023, working with leaders in our Learning teams to allocate staffing where students need it most
Work with team members to develop your deep understanding of the Learning team’s structure and processes, quickly becoming a reliable expert in the way things work
Use your initiative and fresh perspective to suggest and deliver improvement to process
Your day to day:
Supporting leaders in the allocation of formula and need-based staffing
Updating and ensuring data accuracy using available tools, providing reliable utilisation and forecasts based and reporting on approved, anticipated and ad-hoc requests
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in processes and systems a part of resource planning project teams
Providing support and expertise to Leaders in understanding allocations and tools throughout staffing cycles and working with resource planning teams to forecast and model future needs
Monitoring budgets and holding monthly & bi-monthly budget meetings with managers
Managing financial and payroll reconciliations to actuals on a fortnightly cycle
What you’ll bring to the role:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area of study or appropriate demonstrated experience
Proficiency in TechOne or transferable experience in relevant softwares
Strong written and verbal communication skills
