About the opportunity:
We invite applications from suitably qualified teachers who have a well-developed capacity to support our Science Teaching faculty to take forward the mission of Catholic Schools and to ensure high quality education to maximize learning outcomes for all students.

Enthusiastic in delivering quality teaching and learning in all girls setting.
Be familiar with the new NSW Syllabuses, have a strong knowledge base of the subject’s content, how Science is learned, what affects students’ opportunities to learn Science and how the learning of Science can be enhanced.
Make a positive difference to the learning outcomes of the students taught.
Have the ability to design effective teaching, learning and assessing activities.
Sensitive and responsive to all aspects of the context in which they teach including use of technology and other resources, teaching practices and ways in which assessment and feedback is provided to students.
Have effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative teamwork approach.
Have high quality classroom teaching skills which enable students with a diverse range of needs to achieve their full potential.
Have the ability to teach Science using an inquiry-based learning model in agile learning spaces.
Commitment to the continual improvement of teaching practice and take opportunities for personal professional development.
Work creatively and constructively within a range of 'communities' inside and beyond the school and set high, achievable goals for self and students.
This science teaching load may include (1) Religious Education class.

This position involves working with children.
