St Anthony’s is a co-educational systemic primary school with a population of approximately 400 students, located in Girraween. St Anthony’s was founded and led for more than thirty years by the Sisters of Mercy. We build on their foundations by striving to reflect the love of Jesus through the living out of our Mercy Values.

About the opportunity:

We are looking for a committed, caring and passionate Primary K-6 Teacher to be part of our school community on a temporary  full-time basis, commencing in Term 1, 2023 and concluding Term 4, 2023.

You Will:

  • Operate effectively at all stages of the teaching and learning cycle, including planning for learning and assessment, developing learning programs, teaching, assessing, providing feedback on student learning and reporting to parents/carers

  • Develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy

  • Have experience in the use of contemporary technology 

  • Create and maintain safe, inclusive and challenging learning environments and implement fair and equitable behaviour management plans

  • Have a willingness to learn and a commitment to your own professional development 

About you:

To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of St Anthony’s along with:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Education

  • Statements of Service

  • Working with Children Check clearance

  • High quality classroom teaching skills which enable students with a diverse range of needs to achieve their full potential


This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CEDP’s Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.
