Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) has recently reviewed its COVID Vaccination Policy and risk assessment. The requirement for staff to have two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required from 18 July 2022. The proposed exception to this requirement is those staff who work in a High Support Learning Centre (St Luke’s Arrunga, Kirinari & Wiyanga) including any visitors, volunteers and contractors to these sites.

ENGLISH Teacher – Full-Time Temp (Term 4: 10th October 2022 - 20th December 2022)

The applicant must be an enthusiastic, talented, innovative and creative professional teacher, who is prepared to work with Stage 4 and 5 students.  The role is full time temporary commencing Term 4, 2022. We welcome new graduate applications or students in the final year of their study as an English teacher at University.


Position criteria:  The successful applicant will:

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of Catholic Education and a willingness to actively support and promote the Catholic, academic and pastoral dimension of College life.


  • See themselves as learners and be committed to ongoing professional learning;


  • Work collaboratively with the Leader of Learning English and peers to design inquiry learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding;


  • Lead the development of social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student;


  • Integrate digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student learning and professional learning;


  • Lead and use diagnostic data, summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform ‘next steps’ for students;


  • Demonstrate understanding of curriculum and pedagogy and how these underpin:

  • inquiry-based learning 

  • creativity and critical thinking;

  • responses to complex real-world questions and authentic problems;


  • Know and apply NESA and Catholic Education, Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) requirements


  • Have demonstrated the understanding and application of the whole school policies and procedures concerning and including Code of Conduct, WHS and student wellbeing..

The Organisation

Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 83 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney. 

This position involves working with children.
