About the opportunity:

We invite applications from suitably qualified teachers who have a well-developed capacity to support our Creative  Arts teaching team to take forward the mission of Catholic Schools and to ensure high quality education to maximize learning outcomes for all students. The college has a purpose built Performance Centre and recital spaces including resourced music teaching spaces with a Recording Studio, a number of Music Practice rooms and a wide variety of instruments. The college has enjoyed a high standard of results for students who choose to specialise in music elective courses in Stages 5 and 6. More specifically we are seeking a teacher who has:

  • An ability and passion to teach Year 7-12 Music courses

  • Desire to co-construct programs of teaching, learning and assessing with contemporary learning pedagogies

  • Sets high expectations for learning and performance work, modelling this daily to students.

  • Preferred but not essential: An ability to lead choir or singing groups

About you:

  • Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative teamwork.

  • High quality classroom teaching skills which enable students with a diverse range of needs to achieve their full potential.
