Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) has recently reviewed its COVID Vaccination Policy and risk assessment. The requirement for staff to have two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required from 18 July 2022. The proposed exception to this requirement is those staff who work in a High Support Learning Centre (St Luke’s Arrunga, Kirinari & Wiyanga) including any visitors, volunteers and contractors to these sites.

We are seeking a skilled Non-trade Qualified Tradesperson employee who will be responsible to support the other services of a school, including but not limited to cleaning, building and grounds maintenance. You will join our team initially until the end of the school year, with an opportunity for ongoing employment. 

To join our vibrant school community, you will:

  • Have an ability to complete non-specialised repair work;

  • Have experience undertaking general gardening tasks including preparation and planting procedures;

  • Be confident operating, maintaining and adjusting turf machinery under general supervision;

  • Have experience applying fertilisers, fungicides, herbicides and insecticides under general supervision;

  • Have some experience following emergency procedures and preparing incident reports, inspecting and securing buildings;

  • Collaborate with qualified tradespersons in building and furniture maintenance;

  • Be prepared to undertake any other duties as requested by the Principal and/or Principal’s Delegate. This may include operation of the school’s security system when commencing/finishing a shift.

Qualifications and accreditations:

You will not be required to have a trade qualification (certificate III), but has a skill level which assumes and requires knowledge, training or experience relevant to the duties to
be performed.
