About the opportunity:
We invite applications from suitably qualified TAS teachers who have a well developed capacity to support our teaching faculty to take forward the mission of Catholic Schools and to ensure high quality education to maximise learning outcomes for all students.
This is a Permanent Full-Time position.
More specifically you will:
Teach in the area of TAS across stages 4-6 encompassing the areas of Industrial technology, Multimedia, Design & Technology and Mandatory Technology
Use effective pedagogies, a range of differentiated assessment approaches and a wide variety of stimulating and interactive resources to enhance student learning outcomes
Build effective relationships and manage complex interactions and balancing the development of skills and knowledge
Create engaging, intellectually challenging and safe learning environments through planning, implementing and evaluating rigorous and inclusive learning programs
About you:
To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of Emmaus Catholic College along with:
Ability to teach Stage 4 Technological studies; Stage 5 electives; Stage 6 Industrial Technology-Timber and Design and Technology
A deep understanding of contemporary pedagogical approaches for primary years learners
Extensive knowledge of the content and sequence of Key Learning Areas
Knowledge and implementation of a variety of online and multimedia programs to support student learning
A demonstrated understanding of what constitutes effective, developmentally appropriate strategies in learning and teaching programs
A passion for transformational education, integrated into curriculum and delivered in a faith-based environment
Well-developed communication, administration and interpersonal skills
Qualifications and Accreditation
Tertiary Qualification in Education
Qualifications in any other TAS VET subject and Religious Education would be advantageous
Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance
