St. Michael’s School, Blacktown South is a four-stream co-educational primary school with 725 students. We are seeking applications from energetic and innovative educators, with the demonstrated potential to lead and facilitate quality learning and teaching in a Catholic school. The person selected will be expected to work as part of a collaborative and dynamic group of teachers within a contemporary environment that caters for the diverse needs of all students. 


Essential criteria

  • Be a practising Catholic with an understanding of and commitment to the Catholic tradition, and an awareness of its contemporary expression;

  • Have experience and competency as an educator;

  • A willingness to learn, to take risks, to innovate; 

  • A passion for learning and a commitment to ongoing professional learning;

  • The ability to facilitate learning in an agile/flexible learning environment; 

  • A demonstrated commitment to assisting children to take personal responsibility for their own behaviour and learning;

  • The ability to work with colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate learning and teaching in order to enhance student learning outcomes; 

  • Able to cater for students with diverse learning needs; 

  • The ability to work collaboratively with grade partners, diversity and leadership team members, parents as well as outside agencies.
